Course Overview
This course is the first in the CLP curriculum developed for SUSE Enterprise Server 11.
This course guides students who have no experience with Linux through the main concepts of open source software and Linux using the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11. Students will learn the concepts of Open Source and Linux as well as the fundamental knowledge necessary to administer SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11.
These fundamental tasks are prerequisites to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Administration (Course 3102). These tasks are also essential and prerequisite to learning the skills of an entry level Linux administrator or help desk technician in an enterprise environment.

Course Overview
Building on initial experience with Linux, the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Administration (Course 3072) teaches students basic SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 administration skills.
Attendees will learn how to install and configure SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, and how to manage system initialization and processes. Among the topics covered in this course are Posix ACLs, network configuration, printing, and remote access.
