Monitoring the IT systems from a multitude of different vendors and checking thousands of devices was a problem requiring an effective global approach.
In order to federate the supervision and alerting for all IT systems (network equipment, servers, video equipment...), EUROVISION chose IDSA to implement the Nagios open source monitoring solution to get an instantaneous global view of these business critical production systems including the disaster recovery site in Leuk (VS).
According to Pascal Brunat, "The choice of this solution allowed us to federate multiple special purpose monitoring systems and to configure the appropriate level of alerting so that our support team is informed quickly and reliably in case of an incident. This improves our ability to act proactively and has significantly improved the quality of support. Throughout the configuration and implementation of the solution in our complex operating environment, the team at IDSA played a predominant role in the success of this project.".
